Our new quilted organic wool comforters are a phenomenal fill of super silky Merino Wool from certified organic sheep that graze in the most sheep friendly part of the world, Kyrgyzstan. Shepherds there take great care of their sheep and have not used pesticides or herbicides for over 20 years since their separation from communist Soviet Union. This predominantly textile country takes pride in the care of their 8 million sheep which graze freely on the grassy hills of this lush country. These sheep are sheared only once a year producing a fiber which is long and silky, much more comfortable than U.S. wool which is taken twice yearly and is suited more for mattresses.
This merino fiber which is silky and clean naturally due to the lack of industrialization in this country, it is ideal for a purely luxurious comforter. Note: Because of the organic nature, this comforter has a natural pleasant (to some) odor of sheep. This smell will dissipate over time.
USDA certified sheep are sheared once a year for their fine Merino fur to make our luxury comforters. We quilt this inside our wonderful 300 thread count hand picked and finely made organic cotton fabric. Comes in large reusable organic cotton bag.
